30 cubic yards — about 9 pickup truck loads
4–5 tons in the flat rate
About 25 ft long × 10 ft wide, plus door swing
Standard rental runs 7 days on every size, and debris needs to stay below the container's top rail so the driver can haul it safely — that applies whether it lands on a driveway or, with a City of Bakersfield Public Works permit, a public street.
Is this the one?
At 22 feet long by 7.5 feet wide by 6 feet high, the 30 yard is roughly nine pickup truck loads — and that extra wall height is where its advantage lies: volume for a genuine construction or remodeling project. Framing offcuts, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, insulation, furniture and general clearance from a full gut job all belong here, alongside new-construction job sites and commercial fit-outs from downtown Bakersfield out to Shafter and Wasco.
The caveat is weight, and it is a real one. The allowance is generous but finite, and dense material burns through it while the box still looks half empty — which is exactly why concrete, dirt, brick and tile never go in a 30. If a renovation is turning up that kind of heavy debris alongside the lighter stuff, we will run a 10 or 15 alongside the 30 rather than try to fit it all in one container. A 30 also needs open, level ground — most Bakersfield driveways handle it without trouble, and it can sit on the street instead with a City of Bakersfield Public Works permit, which we handle before delivery if that is the only option. If the job is in Shafter, Wasco, Delano or Arvin, that town runs its own permit process instead of the City of Bakersfield's, and we will confirm which one applies before the truck rolls.
Straight advice: Take this one for volume, never for weight. If concrete, dirt, brick or tile is part of the pile, pair the 30 with a 10 or 15 for that portion rather than loading it in here — and keep everything below the top rail regardless of what is going in.

Same flat pricing model across all five. The real question is which weight allowance matches your material — heavy debris, roofing, or a construction phase.

About 22 ft long by 7.5 ft wide by 6 ft high — the same footprint as the 40, just two feet shorter on the walls. It needs open, level ground; a driveway is ideal for most jobs.
Yes — 20, 30 and 40 yard containers are the ones we suit to construction and remodeling work, and the 30 is the volume workhorse of the three for a full gut renovation, an addition, or new construction.
No — that heavy material stays in a 10 or 15 yard container regardless of what else is coming out of the job. If a renovation is producing both, we will run a smaller container alongside the 30 for the heavy portion.
Not if it sits on your driveway or another private surface — that is where most 30 yard containers land. If the site genuinely requires the street or sidewalk instead, we pull the City of Bakersfield Public Works placement permit before delivery, or the local permit if the job is in Lamont, McFarland or Tehachapi.
